We work with managers to evaluate and identify Human Resources processes for improvement in areas such as work performance, conflict resolution, team building, diversity and time management. Training and development programs include developing leadership, communication and goal setting skills.  Some of the areas we focus on include:

  • Best HR Practices. Serve as an HR resource to our clients; experienced HR professional when you need additional assistance; or need to implement company-wide best HR practices into your current processes. 

  • Needs analysis.  We conduct a needs analysis to define areas of improvement and map out strategies to ensure your company's success in the area of human resources management and if needed, we conduct HR audits to uncover areas of needed improvements relating to your hiring practices or staff's job performance.

  • Training. Design, develop and deliver focused, effective workshops, lunch and learns, covering a wide variety of timely topics such as management skills and leadership training.

  • Leadership. Improve interpersonal, management and leadership skills with individual team members, teams or company leaders leading to improved competency, job skills and productivity.  Use established timeframe for skills improvement level.

  • Change management.  We work with your staff to change workplace culture and the environment to produce a more harmonious and productive team.

  • Conflict resolution. We offer you the benefit of our unique experience in conflict resolution.                                                 

            In one of our most recent cases, we successfully resolved
            a divisive workplace grievance between a staff member and
            management. After interviewing involved parties, and
            identifying core problems, we developed a plan with
            recommendations to resolve the issue. Concurrently we
            identified deficiencies in their HR processes and created a
            plan to implement improvements in this area as well.

We use and conduct DiSC® insight assessments for productivity improvement.  The assessments are used as a training tool with teams in concert with instructor led classes.

Resolving Conflict & Confrontation 

Learn how to handle conflict and implement effective resolutions. With this training, you will become better at resolving situations before they escalate. You will build the type of environment that fosters teamwork and better productivity. Many things go into the skill of handling conflict including communications, attitude and motivation. This workshop is a great first step to providing you with the tools to effectively handle conflict and confrontation.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Define conflict and understand its negative effects on the workforce

  • Apply conflict resolution skills to build better relationships and teamwork

Managing the Performance Appraisal

Feedback to an employee about the work they have performed is a critical part of developing and motivating them to continue striving to reach their peak performance on the job.  This task is difficult without the necessary skills and techniques that enable a manager to cover the positive areas of performance as well as discussing areas that need improvement and development.

Managers will learn how to:

  • Conduct a performance appraisal

  • Link the goals of the organization to performance

  • Remain professional during the performance appraisal

  • Ensure that the employee understands how their performance is perceived

  • Include feedback points to cover and apply motivation techniques

  • Help employees to perform at their best

Communicating Effectively

All businesses are tied together by systems of communication.  Ultimately success can be dependent on two aspects of the spoken word—listening and speaking.

Participants will learn:

  • Key behaviors for effective listening

  • Barriers to interpersonal communication

  • Formal & informal channels of communication

  • Responsibilities of speaker & listener

  • How to give & receive feedback

  • How to use active listening, identify key issues

Teams that Work

Teams are formed throughout an organization to get the work done.  Whether large or small, teams need to come together to perform necessary tasks to achieve goals.  Members bring a variety of talents, skills, expertise, opinions and a unique style of operating to bear on the team's ability to function well.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand the four stages of teams—forming, storming, norming and performing

Public Speaking Skills for Managers

Public speaking requires skills as well as confidence to present a topic that is both informative and interesting.  Your communication style is identified and polished during this workshop.  Students will have the opportunity to practice speaking before the group followed by class critique and written evaluations. 

Participants will learn how to:

  • Handle the physical & mental stress of speaking in front of a group

  • Manage the audience while making a good impression

  • Build confidence in yourself and speaking ability

  • Apply techniques to put together a speech

  • Handle questions and answers during the presentation

We can present any of the DiSC® insight assessments that you might be interested in to your organization, and there is no particular order necessary should you desire more than one. 

If you are not sure which assessment to start your team or employee with, the DiSC® Personal Profile System is a great place to begin.  We often use it with new coaching clients as a powerful tool to set the stage for success, and to help raise client awareness of the parts of themselves that are most fundamental to their own happiness and and ability to achieve the goals they set.  Each participant will leave with a highly personalized set of reports with an emphasis on those areas selected by the company (such as interaction with co-workers, clients, sales strategies, motivation, management skills, suitability for particular job descriptions, etc.).

Reports can be generated comparing groups or sets of employees profiles to see where a department's strengths and weaknesses lie, and how to adapt appropriately.  Please remember that if you do not see exactly what you would like for your company, we will be happy to create a customized product just for you!
